Things this site does not do
- Plant Symptom Chart does not set cookies.
- Nothing is written to local storage or session storage in your browser.
- It does not run any analytics, ad networks, tracking pixels or scripts from other companies. The fonts are files on plantsymptomchart.com itself.
- There are no sign-ups, logins or comment boxes. The symptom bar at the top of each chart only jumps to a spot further down the same page.
Two places where personal data does pass through
When your browser asks for a page
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To send you the page and to block attacks, Cloudflare handles request data such as your IP address, the time, the address you asked for and your browser’s user agent. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site up and safe. We do not turn this into visitor statistics or profiles. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy covers how long it keeps this and where, which can include countries other than yours.
When you email us
Mail to hello@plantsymptomchart.com is read so we can answer it, which is our legitimate interest here. Once the exchange is over we delete it, unless you tell us you want it kept.
Personal data is never sold or handed to anyone else, and no decision about you is made by software.
Following a source link
The source links in each chart open the Extension service’s own page, with nothing added to the address. From then on you are on their site and under their privacy terms.
What you can ask us
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and similar laws you may ask to see, fix or erase personal data we have about you, or object to our use of it. Email us at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.
Should we ever start collecting more, such as visit counts, this page will be updated to say exactly what and why before that starts.
